Established in 1998, Emerald Equestrian has been designing and manufacturing high-quality equestrian equipment for more than 20 years. Based in Maghera, Northern Ireland, we supply customers around the world, including America, Ireland, the UK, France and Saudi Arabia.
A family business, Emerald Equestrian is a father and son enterprise, with both Seamus Mullan and Cathal Mullan qualified engineers, specialising in hydraulics and manufacturing engineering respectively. This professional expertise ensures a high standard in all of our products, with superior design, workmanship and installation guaranteed for every customer.

Innovative design and engineering
With a purpose-built onsite manufacturing facility, Emerald Equestrian designs and produces all equipment in-house, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship from start to finish. Committed to using the very latest technical innovations, we always keep up-to-date with industry developments and are constantly refining and improving what we do.
Our customers subsequently benefit from high-spec custom-made equipment which includes horse walkers, lunge pens, turnout pens and stabling. We also provide onsite surveys and measuring services, as well as professional advice from a team with in-depth industry knowledge and experience.

The story behind Emerald Equestrian
Having begun his career at a local agricultural machinery business, Seamus’ expertise in hydraulic engineering soon saw him go on to work with a company that manufactured loading cranes and quarry equipment.
After five years travelling around the world designing and fixing machinery, Seamus acquired a unique insight into a wide range of products. Inspired by these experiences, he ultimately decided to launch his own business, which quickly became focused on the equestrian industry. Since then, he hasn’t looked back.
